At first Lyra was the shy one, and Bonbon always had to take the lead, since she was more self confident.

They had been friends since they were fillies and they both knew that their childhood friendship had been maturing ever since they first met.

Bonbon: Hey Lyra, close your eyes, I have a present for you
Lyra: Umm.. Okay!

Lyra tried to act as if she had no idea of the mutual feelings of the ponies, but her expression revealed everything.
